I enjoy your pictures from Shaanxi, but I have a question. What does “MEN Village” mean? Is MEN your acronym for the name of the village, or something else?
Hi Karolyn, MEN 门 is the Chinese name of the village, this means all the families in this village have the family name MEN, this is very traditional in China especially in the more remote areas. BTW theChinese character for MEN 门 means open door 🙂
