Image taken in Shanghai’s fast disappearing lanes, lane life is being rapidly replaced by high rise living, progress I know but it’s a shame to see the history being removed.
It *is* a shame when history is removed… I feel the same way when I visit Paris and see McD or Sbux… I go to Paris to experience DIFFERENT things than I do at home. If everything assimilates, then nothing is going to be authentic or special. That’s what’s sad to me.

I agree 100%, we do need to move forward but not at the expense of everything laid down in the past!
