Splashes of Colour
I have been enjoying my recent batch of flower uploads as they have brought some color into my mind and taken me away to another genre of photography that I do not do so often. When I look at these flowers their beauty just amazes me, the subtle softness of tone, the delicacy of the petals and the sweetness of their smell is captivating, no wonder so many photographers and artists chose this genre as their subject matter:) I have many more images of flowers taken in the Imperial Gardens of the Forbidden City so I think I will put together a small gallery of my final images, I do hope you have enjoyed this brief move away from my normal style of work and enjoy the final flower gallery that will follow soon.
Your thoughts, comments and critique are welcome as always, Thanks and Regards Mark
… and look particularly striking against the black of your theme, I might add! Look forward to your ‘artist’s choice’ gallery:)
Thank you my friend 🙂
Looking forward to the exhibition:)
This is an excellent photo. Would love to know how you created it. Would love to know the technique.
Hi John,
Thanks for your kind words, they are always appreciated.
I actually pay very little attention to post processing and most often than not I dont use any post processing at all other that maybe a simple conversion to black and white or adding a little contrast and or grain etc so I don’t keep records on my changes (bad practice I know) 😦 However; i do use CS5 Photoshop and Silver Efex Pro, Color Efex Pro, I think with this image I simply used a part of Color Effex Pro to soften the image then change the colour contrast contrast. Hope this helps?
Regards
Mark
