I’m still on my walk around the walls of Ping Yao Ancient City, only a few more images to go now before I come down and enter the city through the inner gates…As the title says, these walls were ‘Built to Last’ and I hope they do! These city walls were constructed in the 3rd year of the Hongwu Emperor in 1370 and so far they have done well for 642 years, however; tourism, is taking its effect on this piece of history but without it, would it survive!
