Refuse collection tricycles can be seen regularly all over the streets of Shanghai and for that matter throughout China, these little trikes are on the road from dusk till dawn, their riders (men and women) are the unsung hero’s of the trash collection industry in China, these guys and gals collect anything, they carry massive loads and take their collections to re-cycling stations dotted all around the city. It’s amazing to see what and how much they carry, how they manage to move along these crowded streets filled with cars and truck, most trikes are single geared so their riders usually are small, have massive calf muscles and a huge lung capacity….If China is considering the Tour De France, maybe they should get some of these guys on their team ：）
